CVMAIL Welcomes Professor From Imperial College London to Strengthen AI for Healthcare Collaboration
We were truly honored to welcome Professor Ben Glocker, Professor of Machine Learning for Imaging at Imperial College London, and Dr. Raghav Mehta to VinUniversity, the Computer Vision and Medical AI Lab (CVMAIL), and Vinmec Times City Hospital on February 12, 2026.
During their visit, Prof. Glocker and Dr. Mehta shared their latest research and insights on developing safe, trustworthy, and ethical computational tools to advance image-based disease detection and diagnosis. As AI models continue to achieve remarkable accuracy and demonstrate strong clinical potential, ensuring their robust, reliable, and responsible deployment across diverse healthcare environments is more critical than ever.
We are excited to announce the establishment of a joint research team dedicated to developing internationally deployable AI models for healthcare — systems designed to operate safely and effectively across different datasets, populations, and healthcare systems worldwide.
In March 2026, Dr. Pham Huy Hieu and members of CVMAIL Lab will visit Imperial College London for a research exchange, marking an important step toward building a long-term and impactful partnership between VinUniversity and Imperial College London in advancing AI for healthcare.
