Dr. Hieu Pham presents as keynote speaker at National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (FJCAI 2026)
On March 27–28, 2026, Dr. Hieu Pham was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the FISU Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (FJCAI 2026). This annual conference is a leading academic forum in Vietnam, bringing together researchers, lecturers, students, and industry experts to exchange the latest research findings, emerging trends, challenges, and applications of artificial intelligence across diverse fields.
At the conference, Dr. Hieu Pham presented his keynote titled “Multimodal AI: Recent Advances and Real-World Applications”. His talk explored the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence driven by the growth of big data and advancements in machine learning, highlighting the emergence of multimodal AI as a transformative direction in the field.

Multimodal AI refers to a new generation of intelligent systems capable of understanding, integrating, and generating information across multiple data types, including text, images, audio, and video. By connecting these diverse modalities, such systems enable deeper contextual understanding, improved accuracy, and more advanced reasoning capabilities compared to traditional models that rely on a single type of data.
The keynote also addressed recent breakthroughs in multimodal learning, particularly those based on large-scale foundation models. These innovations are expanding the boundaries of AI capabilities and reshaping how organizations and researchers utilize data for automation, decision-making, and innovation.
Through practical examples, Dr. Hiệu demonstrated the growing impact of multimodal AI across a wide range of domains, including healthcare, smart cities, education, robotics, and creative industries. The presentation placed particular emphasis on applications in smart healthcare, where multimodal AI is unlocking new opportunities for diagnosis, monitoring, and personalized patient care.
